I'd just like to again extend my thanks to everyone who attended yesterday. Despite the chilly temperature, we had a great time and raised a lot of money for Southeast Pug Rescue. A special thanks and congratulations goes to our two big prize winners - Paul and Crystal M. who raised the most money and Mike N. who logged the most miles. In total, we managed to log over 200 miles and raise over $700 for rescue. Here are a few photos from the day:
I'd also like to again thank our sponsors for the event and encourage everyone to check them out, they are some fantastic businesses!
Dizzy's Dog Wash
Ulmer Studios
The Flower Pot, Smyrna

Thanks again to all and I look forward to seeing you again next year!

Only 2 more days until the celebration and there are just a few things I wanted to remind you of:
1) Be sure to bring all of your collected pledges to the event in order to be eligible for prizes - all checks should be made payable to Southeast Pug Rescue and Adoption.

3) Registration is from 8am-9am. Look for us in the decorated park shelter.
4) Wear your walking shoes! The track we will use for our victory lap is ~ 1/2 mile long.
Directions:
From 1-24 - Take Exit 66B - Sam Ridley Pkwy East, Smyrna
Turn RIGHT at the light onto Mason Tucker Dr. (The YMCA is on the left)
Hilltop - Rosenwald Park is at the end of the residential neighborhood on your right.
***Just now seeing this???***
It's not too late to join us!! Even if you haven't been walking and taking pledges all along you are still welcome to join us for the celebration this Saturday! Prizes start at a $20 donation to Southeast Pug Rescue, so bring your check book and join the fun!

Welcome!
Thank you so much for visiting our blog and your interest in our event!! For those of you who are not familiar with Southeast Pug Rescue and Adoption please visit the website. The rescue is currently in desperate need of funds and that need has inspired this fundraiser.
What exactly is this fundraiser??
Sneakers for Snorts is a great way to get in shape and raise money for a good cause all at the same time! Recruit your family and friends to pledge a dollar amount for every mile you walk or run from March 1st until March 25th. Collect all of the money and bring it to registration at 8am March 29th. At 9am we will all participate in a victory lap around the park!! We will conclude the event with snacks, prizes for different levels of money raised (more details on this to come), and a silent auction.
How Do I sign Up?
Due to the size of the park, we have a limit of 50 participants. To ensure your spot, you can pre-register by e-mailing me at snortsandscraps@yahoo.com. I will e-mail you back with a pledge form for your family and friends as well a guide to getting started on a walking or running program.
What's in it for me??
In addition to getting in shape just in time for spring, you'll be getting the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping homeless pugs!! And of course there will be *prizes*!!! Stay tuned for more on this in the coming weeks!
Additional Questions??
Feel free to contact me at snortsandscraps@yahoo.com
Thanks!
Amber
***Also please note that while this fundraiser is to benefit our furry friends, only humans are permitted to join the celebratory walk. Thank you for your cooperation***
